Anyone of you were lucky enough to get tickets to watch the parade live from Marina Bay?
Do give some reflection on the above mentioned questions.
Here are some photos taken on Friday, 7/8/09.
Some were not in class as they had duties to perform, so you will not see some of your friends here.

Valentin, this is not a good pledge to be shared. I am looking for a positive reflection in conjunction of 44th birthday.
ReplyDeleteI had attended twice in celebrating Singaore's National Day. Both were at the National Stadium. I remembered my first time was when I was in Primary 2. At that time, it was much simplier to get tickets to the NDP Parade. I remembered queuing at Bedok Stadium to get the free tickets. No one were kiasu, no body actually stayed overnight to get the tickets. Interested people just started lining up on the actual day itself. We managed to get 4 tickets and I was very happy. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely something I would remember till today.
I did try getting NDP tickets through the new mode of technology....but unfortunately, no luck yet. :)
All of you will be able to watch NDP next year. It is because all Primary 5 pupils will be given a chance to watch the parade before the actualy National Day as part of your National Education. So, I hope you will look forward for this next year. Not to forget, you will get goodie bag too.
ReplyDeleteAmelia here!
ReplyDeleteThough i watched the parade on television, the fireworks were so pretty! i think we are lucky to have such entertaining parade. And other countries dont really celebrate coz their countries are bigger and cant have this kind of gatherings!
Hi!!!!Kay Hsiang was funnily dressed up.Altough we did not win the whole thing,we managed to win a small prize!!!I accidentally lost Kay Hsiang's glitter powder and he looked pretty unhappy...:( But in the end,he forgave me and I was overjoyed!!I vowed never to lose his things like that ever again!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow!I loved the part when the parachuters were going to land and they said "Wwwwwoooooooowwwww...... YAY!" I also loved the fireworks! The heart shaped fireworks were gorgeous! That was not the best though.I liked the grand finale, there was a blast of fireworks! BOM!!!!!!!!!!BOW!!!!!!!!!!BAM!!!!!!!!!!BOO!!!!!!!!!!I think that the Pledge Moment was a good idea as it brings back fond memories for those who are working or overseas.
ReplyDeleteThis years NDP was better than last year.I watched the parade on TV. I loved the part when they said that there were terrorists. They tried to escape but the millitary jumped into their boats and captured them.^_^At first I thought they were telling the truth and there really were REAL terrorists trying to set a REAL bomb!Turns out they were just joking.Anyway,it was a very good skit!Too bad I didnt go and watch the NDP LIVE.I bet it was W-A-Y much better than what I was watching on TV.I have never ever watched it LIVE before.I am so happy that I am going to do that next year!!!:D
ReplyDeletei like the national day celebration in both school and in marina bay. i actully went to the national parade preview. vanessa went to the actual national day parade. it was so fun! i got the pink goodie. when most of the soilders use the gun to shot,i dont really know if the bullet hit my ankle. i felt numb on my leg during thet tim. i wish i could go there again.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE National Day so much!It short,it is fun. From friday till saturday,it was just interesting.Friday,as everyone knows,we had the celebration.Although I had to stay back in school for rehersal because of my CCA,the air that I breathed still had a sense of joy. When I trid on my coustume,I certainly look different from my usual wear.If Mr Kua had not been that serious about Saturday's peformce, we could have been alot happier, though.Well, saturday came as quickly as friday had left and soon, the dancers had to gather in the school canteen.Constance arrived fist.Fennie followed up.I couldn't believe it when they called me to come too.I had too.Nobody would want to lose two friends for nothing, right? When I had reached, my fellow classmates were still there. To my surprise, fennie told me that nobody is in school. Not even the teacher in charge was there.the dance room was lock and we were the only ones at school.Soon, only five dancers there.the teacher fially came.it was a great day there.Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteDuring the national day parade,I was running 1484 metres in the park. The nation day parade every year is the same but I don't really mind because I don't wacth it at all and Singapore has limited resorces so we must save it.plus, our fireworks are not like other countries that could fire 1 hour because we must save money to the economy crisis. BY THE WAY,VALENTIN YOU SPELLED"ACHIEVE"AS "ARCHIVE

ReplyDeleteThis year, i did not go and watch the NDP(National Day Parade) ,but my parents did. I watched it on televison instead. I really liked the fireworks, it was brightly coloured and attractive.
ReplyDeleteAt 8.22pm, my whole family took the pledge proudly. When my parents came back, they gave me the bags with the gadgets inside. I was really elated!

ReplyDeleteI did not watch NDP Live,so I watch on TV.I like the part where the soldiers raised up their guns to shoot.I also like the fireworks. It was cool and look like shooting stars!I sang the pledge in front of the TV.We started a bit late but we still sang proudly anyway.(That's because we followed the TV,which started at 8.30pm.)
