Earth Hour, 28/3/2009, Saturday

Remember what I had mentioned in class yesterday.
Tomorrow, 28th of March is Earth Hour.
From 8.30 - 9.30 pm, do your part and vote for Earth by swtiching off your lights for one hour.

I hope during Earth Hour, you will not log on to the computer and check this blog. :)
I also hope I do not see any comments during this hour.

  4. Ok sorry for not replying earlier.
Was busy the whole morning because of Meet-Parents session.

I was only home at about 8 at night. So now, officially Earth Hour is over, so I can now on my laptop and check this blog.

Lucus, yes we are supposed to off all electrical appliances. If it is not possible, we just use minimal electriciy. I obtained this photo by searching on the internet.

Fennie, it is alright if your parents do not allow you to do so.

Jeng Wei, yes not problem in playing games using batteries.

  8. I switched off the lights from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Before that day,I told my father abot this, and he said, " Why don't you protect the earth everyday instead of only this particular day?" I thought about this for a moment, and thought : WHY NOT?

  9. I had escargots(edible snails)for dinner and ate dishes my mother prepared before earth hour. Then at 8.30 pm we swicthed off all the electrical apliances and used the reusable candles my mother bought. We also watch TV and it ended just at the same time of earth hour!:)

  10. Mdm Suriana,
Why is there a "60" in the earth hour poster?
I was not able to participate in earth hour because my parent said I have to sleep before 8.30 pm!So by the time I wake up,(about 7.00am)the earth hour already ended.:(

  12. My mum said turning off all electrical appliances for 1 whole hour was too long, so I only did it for 30 min.We used candles to brighten up the room.We ate apples and chatted during the 30 min.At nine o'clock, when we blew out the candles it was still quite bright outside.I also found out that many people did not participate in earth hour by looking at the lights on the other floors!!!!!
